What you'll do

• Interpret blueprints to fabricate, assemble, and install sheet-metal products
• measure, mark, and lay out materials
• fasten joints and seams using solder, welds, caulk, bolts, and clips
• install pipes, HVAC ducts, flashings, gutters, and furnace casings
• use hand and power tools to finish metal surfaces
• select sheet-metal type and gauge to specifications
• prioritize job-site safety.
