The Medical-Surgical Renal/Vascular Registered Nurse role is onsite in Gainesville, FL, with day and night 12-hour shifts available: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM. Compensation is $30.69–$43.20 per hour. The nurse joins a 45-bed renal/vascular medical-surgical unit caring for complex adult patients at a full-service acute care hospital. The nurse provides bedside care, assesses patients, develops individualized care plans, monitors clinical changes, educates patients and families, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team. The role supports safe, coordinated care for adult patients with renal and vascular needs in a high-volume, high-acuity setting.

What you'll do

• Deliver direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients with renal and vascular needs
• perform assessments and develop individualized care plans
• monitor conditions and respond to clinical changes
• educate patients and families on medications, procedures, and discharge planning
• advocate for safety and quality outcomes
• collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• manage care in a 7:1 nurse-to-patient ratio environment.

Why this role

One or more years of RN experience required; acute-care experience is not required; Florida or compact RN license required; nursing diploma or associate degree required, BSN preferred; BLS required before start; NIH Stroke Scale within 30 days; COVID-19 vaccination required unless exemption approved.
