Mental Health Counselor

The Mental Health Counselor role is onsite in Tampa, FL. Compensation is $50,000–$55,000 per year. The counselor supports WestCare’s mental health and substance use disorder services through clinical counseling and care coordination. The role plans and delivers individual, group, and family counseling, assesses client needs, and develops treatment plans to support clinical progress. It also contributes to safe, coordinated care through crisis intervention, documentation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and discharge planning.

What you'll do

• Conduct client screening, psychosocial assessment, and counseling
• develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• provide individual, group, and family counseling
• monitor client behavior and treatment progress
• intervene in crises and de-escalate situations
• maintain clinical records and reports
• attend interdisciplinary treatment team meetings
• contribute to referrals and discharge planning
• follow applicable laws, regulations, and WestCare procedures.

Why this role
