Job overview

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) role is onsite in Newburyport, MA. Compensation is $20–$25 per hour, based on experience and schedule. The position supports a resident care team serving older adults in assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing. The CNA provides respectful assistance with daily living, monitors and records resident information, and reports changes to nursing staff. The role supports residents’ safety, dignity, routines, and participation in activities while communicating with families and the care team.

What you'll do

  • Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
  • measure and record vital signs, weights, and intake and output
  • assist at meals and monitor nutrition and hydration
  • reposition and transfer residents safely
  • report changes in condition, skin integrity, behavior, or mood
  • document care in the electronic health record
  • support residents with dementia using person-centered approaches
  • maintain clean and safe rooms and common areas
  • follow infection control, fall prevention, and resident rights policies
  • communicate with families
  • participate in shift reports, care plan huddles, and training
  • support activities and orient new residents.
