Lead Aftercare Teacher

The Lead Aftercare Teacher role is onsite in Hoboken, NJ. Pay is $18–$23 per hour. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–7:00 PM. The Learning Experience provides an early education setting where children can learn, play, and grow. The teacher leads the school-age Aftercare program, providing a safe, structured afternoon with homework support and age-appropriate activities. The role supervises children, communicates with families, and works with teachers and the leadership team to support a consistent program.

What you'll do

• Walk to local Hoboken schools to pick up and escort children to the center
• lead the daily Aftercare classroom routine
• provide homework assistance
• create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans, projects, games, and activities
• maintain a safe and organized classroom
• supervise children during transitions, activities, snack, homework, and play
• communicate with families
• collaborate with teachers and leadership
• follow policies, licensing, and safety requirements.
