Engagement Assistant

The Engagement Assistant role is onsite in Charlton, MA. The stated hourly pay range is $15.50–$18.00. The position supports resident engagement at Overlook Masonic Health Center and is a 40-hour role that includes working every other weekend. The assistant prepares and supports activities that address residents’ physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, educational, and social interests. The role encourages participation, offers alternatives for residents who do not wish to join group activities, and documents engagement and feedback.

What you'll do

• Prepare materials for daily activities
• invite and encourage residents to participate in group programs
• offer alternatives such as television, reading, or music to residents who do not wish to participate
• document participation in individual, group, special-event, social, and outing programs
• communicate program progress, resident participation, feedback, requests, and behavior issues to engagement colleagues and the director
• promote teamwork
• transport residents to and from activities on and off the units.
