The role may also include outpatient wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy duties, chamber operations, staff education, and participation in quality and practice-improvement work.

What you'll do

• Evaluate patients and develop evidence-based plans for wounds, fistulas, ostomies, and continence issues
• provide care within WOC nursing scope and standing orders
• mark potential ostomy sites for surgical consideration and educate patients and families. When assigned to outpatient wound care and hyperbaric services, provide care around treatments, monitor for adverse reactions, document treatment, and operate and maintain chamber systems according to protocols. Requires RN licensure, BLS, and at least three years as an acute-care staff nurse
• specialty certification is preferred.
