Job overview
The Senior Center Kitchen Assistant role is onsite in Saint Helens, OR, Monday through Friday, either 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. or 6:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Compensation is $18 per hour. The role supports nutritious meal service for older adults in the community.
What you'll do
- Assist with food preparation using approved menus and standardized recipes
- manage inventory and food storage
- receive, label, store, date, and rotate food and supplies
- clean and sanitize kitchen areas, equipment, appliances, storage, and dishwashing stations
- follow food safety and health regulations
- provide courteous service and work with staff and volunteers to support daily meal service.
