What you'll do

• Operate treatment facilities and control flow and processing of water, wastewater, sludge, and effluent
• monitor gauges, meters, and control panels
• operate valves and gates
• start and stop pumps, engines, and generators
• maintain shift logs
• collect samples and perform routine laboratory tests
• perform routine maintenance and custodial duties
• make operating decisions when supervisory personnel are absent.
