The Assistant Snow Surfaces Manager — Overnight Grooming role is onsite in Arnold, California. Pay is $30–$38 per hour. The position supports Bear Valley Mountain Resort’s snow grooming operations and skiing and riding conditions across the resort. The assistant manager helps plan nightly grooming, coordinate with snowmaking and other resort departments, supervise and train operators, and monitor equipment, safety, and surface quality. This work helps maintain safe, high-quality snow surfaces and supports events and seasonal operations.

What you'll do

• Assist with nightly grooming plans and monitor snow quality and coverage
• coordinate priorities with Snowmaking, Lift Maintenance, Terrain Park, and Ski Patrol
• operate grooming equipment as needed
• assist with supervising and training staff, scheduling, time tracking, and performance evaluations
• inspect grooming machinery and report maintenance needs
• document grooming activities and respond to surface concerns
• support events and seasonal openings and closings.
