The Eddy Current Technician — Level IIA role is an onsite position based in Morganton, NC, with extensive travel to power plants and industrial sites worldwide. Pay is $23–$45 per hour. American Efficiency Services performs industrial testing and nondestructive evaluation services. The technician conducts and documents inspections, interprets results, and identifies discontinuities to support client requirements and safe, reliable industrial operations. The role also coordinates with clients and managers and may guide trainees within the technician’s qualified methods.

What you'll do

• Perform and calibrate Eddy Current inspections using Corestar equipment and software
• inspect and interpret results
• document findings and identify unacceptable discontinuities by location and dimension
• examine materials according to procedures, codes, standards, and specifications
• prepare instructions and reports
• communicate with clients and department managers
• support team members and trainees
• assist other service lines when necessary.
