Laser Welder

The Laser Welder role is onsite in Devens, MA, with pay of $24–$33 per hour. The position works in the YAG/Metals Department at Accumet Engineering Inc. The role exists to set up and operate laser and other CNC production equipment for welding work. It contributes to production by following process and quality procedures, completing inspections, and handling parts carefully to prevent contamination or damage.

What you'll do

• Retrieve master programs and set up CNC programs
• download programs to applicable controllers and operate CNC production equipment
• run Nd:YAG lasers and use shielding gas when required
• set welding process parameters and fixtures
• follow procedures for first- and second-piece inspections
• observe machine safety and quality procedures
• coordinate issues with supervisors, managers, sales, and quality assurance.
