Embedded Software Engineer (Early–Mid Level) is an onsite role in Wichita, KS; remote applications will not be considered. Compensation is $80,000–$120,000 per year. The engineer supports Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics’ design and manufacture of avionics, power electronics, and battery systems for the aerospace community. The role designs and implements embedded software and related tools for existing and emerging products. It contributes to product development and verification by working with target hardware, researching components, testing performance and compliance, and documenting designs and manufacturing instructions.

What you'll do

• Design and implement embedded C software for bare-metal microcontroller systems, with an option for VHDL firmware for FPGA systems
• research components and technologies
• design tools for manufacturing, calibration, and verification
• build and troubleshoot hardware
• prototype and execute test programs
• document designs, bills of materials, engineering change orders, and work instructions.
