What you'll do

• Set up, operate, and tend heat-treating, testing, and finishing equipment
• monitor and adjust furnace controls, flow rates, and temperatures
• operate and maintain gas generators and related systems
• load and unload parts and move materials
• perform hardness and dimensional quality checks
• clean and inspect equipment
• follow startup and shutdown procedures
• interpret heat-treat prints and work instructions
• document production and quality records
• report unusual conditions and maintain a safe, clean work area.
