The Endoscopy Charge Nurse role is onsite in Fremont, CA, with pay of $80 per hour. Washington Outpatient Surgery Center is a weekday, freestanding multispecialty center with five operating rooms and two procedure rooms. The charge nurse oversees daily endoscopy operations and supports safe, efficient patient flow through preoperative, procedural, and recovery areas. The role provides clinical guidance to staff, coordinates staffing and equipment, and supports compliance, quality improvement, and patient safety.

What you'll do

• Oversee daily endoscopy operations with the nurse manager
• coordinate procedure schedules, room assignments, staffing, and equipment
• facilitate patient flow
• coordinate with gastroenterologists, anesthesia providers, nursing staff, and departments
• address operational challenges
• serve as a clinical resource
• assign daily responsibilities
• support staff training and competency validation
• monitor safety, infection prevention, documentation, and applicable compliance requirements
• respond to patient safety concerns and emergencies
• participate in quality improvement and audits.
