Job overview

The Registered Nurse, Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) role is onsite in Kingston, NY, with a Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. schedule. Pay is $38–$43 per hour based on experience. The nurse supports the Mental Health Association in Ulster County’s ACT Program, a mobile multidisciplinary team serving adults with serious mental illness and possible substance use concerns. The nurse contributes to individualized outpatient care by assessing physical and mental health, supporting treatment and medication management, and coordinating with program staff and other agencies. The role also includes documentation, required team meetings, and outreach, rehabilitation, and support services.

What you'll do

  • Assist with evaluation and treatment of people referred to the ACT Program
  • provide outreach, treatment, rehabilitation, and support services
  • conduct mental and physical health assessments and make medical referrals
  • manage and administer medication with the ACT psychiatrist
  • complete documentation, quality assurance, and billing requirements
  • participate in program meetings
  • coordinate care with ACT staff and other agencies.
