The Grill Cook role is onsite at the National Air and Space Museum in Chantilly, VA. Compensation is $17–$19 per hour, and the schedule varies by day from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; weekend availability is required. Restaurant Associates provides dining and event catering at museums, performing arts centers, and corporations. The cook prepares and serves food at the grill station while following recipes, portion standards, food-safety procedures, and service expectations. The role helps provide timely, appealing meals and a positive customer experience across service stations.

What you'll do

• Take customer orders and prepare short-preparation items
• complete orders from steam tables and serve customers at multiple stations
• follow service standards and check food temperature and presentation
• use ticket-collection procedures and maintain service records
• follow approved recipes and portion standards
• store food using safety and rotation procedures
• clean and sanitize work areas and equipment
• address customer concerns and report relevant information to a supervisor
• attend in-service and safety meetings.
