What you'll do

• Perform Person-in-Charge duties for loading, transferring, and discharging liquid and chemical products
• complete Declarations of Inspection, Job Safety Analyses, and load plans
• conduct hourly vessel and engine-room checks
• maintain vessels and tank barges
• report maintenance issues
• follow emergency procedures and Coast Guard and terminal requirements
• communicate with boat and dock personnel
• guide and train deckhands and new tankermen
• assist with safety drills and deck-crew duties.
