Project Engineer - Commercial Construction

Job overview

The Project Engineer - Commercial Construction works onsite in South Hill, VA, with possible visits to construction sites. Pay is $60,000–$80,000 per year. The role supports two or more commercial construction projects with Atlantic Constructors’ project managers and project manager assistants. The engineer coordinates project information, schedules, submittals, documentation, and communication among field crews, customers, vendors, and subcontractors. This work helps project teams meet quality, schedule, budget, and safety objectives.

What you'll do

• Maintain project tracking reports and internal schedules
• prepare and track submittals
• support change requests and project closeout
• update and distribute contract documents
• schedule and attend project meetings
• solicit subcontractor and supplier proposals
• prepare project correspondence
• submit building permit applications
• assist project managers with quality, schedule, budget, and safety
• document subcontractor and supplier progress and report issues.
