Senior QA Automation Engineer (Bilingual Japanese/English)

The Senior QA Automation Engineer (Bilingual Japanese/English) role is onsite in Jersey City, NJ, and pays $55–$65 per hour. The position supports a global financial institution’s mission-critical front-office sales and trading platforms and works with stakeholders across regions, including Japan-based teams. The engineer strengthens test automation and trade lifecycle accuracy across complex over-the-counter derivatives workflows. The role builds and runs automated and manual tests, validates trade data and system handoffs, tracks defects, and coordinates with developers, QA analysts, and business stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Design and expand automated test frameworks using Java or Python
• develop and execute automated and manual test cases for trade lifecycle workflows
• validate deal entry, risk revaluation, and downstream booking and settlement handoffs
• perform API, UI, and data validation testing
• convert requirements and Xray scenarios into automation scripts
• assess impacts of features and production changes
• document and track defects in JIRA
• participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning
• provide Japanese/English communication support between global teams and Japan-based stakeholders.
