The Language Arts Academic Tutor — Kalihi role is onsite in Honolulu, HI. Compensation is $20.75–$26.75 per hour. The tutor helps students strengthen reading and writing skills through lesson plans and engaging academic activities, while also serving as a mentor. The role builds student confidence and engagement through enrichment, positive relationships, and a welcoming environment for youth.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement lesson plans and educational activities aligned with program goals
• create engaging academic enrichment methods to address learning loss
• communicate with participants, parents when applicable, coworkers, and program contacts
• assist with mentoring junior staff
• research and develop youth programs and workshops
• contribute ideas and feedback for program improvement
• assist with events and activities
• facilitate inclusive programming that encourages exploration and positive play.
