Senior Buyer

The Senior Buyer role is onsite in Safford, AZ. Compensation is $80,000–$90,000 per year, based on experience. Open Loop Energy provides hydraulics repair services for heavy equipment, mining systems, and related hydraulic components.

What you'll do

• Lead day-to-day purchasing and guide purchasing personnel
• develop sourcing strategies
• negotiate with suppliers and manage supplier performance
• monitor material requirements, inventory, lead times, capacity, and market conditions
• identify cost-reduction and process-improvement opportunities
• resolve supply, pricing, delivery, quality, invoice, and contract issues
• and coordinate purchasing priorities with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and other departments. Coach and develop Buyer Level I and II staff and support budgets, forecasts, planning, and reporting.

Why this role

Typically requires five or more years of progressively responsible purchasing, procurement, or supply-chain experience, including supplier negotiations, strategic sourcing, and leadership or supervision. A relevant bachelor’s degree and CPSM, CPIM, or CSCP certification are preferred; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
