Lead Rental Technician

The Lead Rental Technician role is onsite in Old Bridge, NJ, and applicants must reside within 15 miles of Old Bridge. The schedule is Sunday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM. Compensation is $29–$31 per hour. The Home Depot operates rental centers and supports customers and stores with equipment rental services. The technician maintains and repairs rental equipment and supports safe, reliable equipment use across nearby stores and customer job sites. The role diagnoses mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and brake-system issues, documents repairs and parts, and helps associates and customers operate equipment properly.

What you'll do

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair rental equipment, including engines, hydraulics, electrical, fuel, and brake systems
• review down-equipment reports and prioritize repairs
• obtain parts and maintain accurate inventory
• document labor and parts in company technology
• perform work at stores, shops, and job sites
• deploy equipment and conduct pre-delivery inspections
• train associates and customers in safe operation
• assist with deliveries and pickups
• maintain vehicle compliance.
