The 2027 Summer Associate role is hybrid in San Francisco, CA, with work from the San Francisco office at least two days a week; other remote arrangements may be considered case by case. Compensation is $40 per hour. Summer associates support Sher Edling’s environmental and consumer-protection litigation representing states, tribes, and local governments. The role gives law students substantive involvement in litigation from investigation through appeal. Through research, writing, and problem-solving, summer associates contribute to cases addressing climate deception and drinking-water contamination.
What you'll do
- Conduct in-depth legal research and writing and contribute to litigation phases including investigation, motion practice, discovery, hearing preparation, and appeal.
- Where appropriate, participate in court appearances, depositions, and firm and client meetings.
