The Food Safety and Quality Assurance Technician is an onsite role in Vernon, CA. The compensation range is $19.95–$29.95 per hour. The position supports food safety and quality programs at a Sysco Specialty Meat and/or Seafood Company; Sysco is a foodservice distributor. The technician monitors food safety, quality, sanitation, and inspection programs to help ensure products and processes meet corporate and regulatory requirements. The role supports audits, employee training, product evaluations, and communication with operations, suppliers, and customers.

What you'll do

• Monitor HACCP, sanitation, pest control, good manufacturing practices, supplier approval, foreign-material control, chemical control, product quality, customer complaints, food defense, and security programs
• assist with employee training and SQF audits
• support product evaluations, plant visits, and supplier/customer communication.
