The Maintenance Mechanic II – Third Shift role is onsite in Canton, GA. Compensation includes $34.20 per hour during 90 days of first-shift training, plus a $2 per hour weekday-night differential or $2.50 per hour weekend-night differential for the subsequent night schedule. Universal Alloy Corporation manufactures high-strength structural components for aerospace applications. The mechanic maintains, installs, repairs, and rebuilds production machinery and plant equipment. The role troubleshoots hydraulic and pneumatic systems, performs preventive maintenance, and carries out fabrication, welding, and other maintenance work to support safe and reliable production.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• perform fabrication, welding, torch cutting, light carpentry, and other maintenance
• perform scheduled preventive maintenance
• install, maintain, repair, or rebuild machine tools and plant equipment
• diagnose equipment problems and repair or replace defective parts
• maintain heavy machinery and buildings
• promote workplace safety.
