What you'll do

• Generate self-limiting strains and assess them against target product profile metrics
• maintain insect colonies and conduct protocol-based experiments
• record data and document laboratory activities
• communicate experimental status to the strain development scientist and team lead
• maintain laboratory operations, supplies, equipment, and safety records
• write and update SOPs, COSHH documents, and risk assessments
• manage and train any direct reports in line with SOPs and training records
• provide occasional weekend support as part of an R&D rota.
