The Early Childhood Teacher and Assistant Teacher roles are onsite in Tucson, AZ. Pay is $16–$18 per hour. Strauss Early Childhood Education Center operates a play-based program that supports young children’s development and learning. Teachers help provide a safe, nurturing classroom environment for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. They plan and carry out developmental activities, communicate with parents, and maintain classrooms in line with state regulations and standards.

What you'll do

• Ensure children’s safety in classrooms serving ages 6 weeks to 5 years
• plan and implement activities supporting social, physical, and intellectual growth
• provide care, hygiene, diapering, learning, and developmental activities
• communicate with parents about children’s accomplishments and daily activities
• maintain classroom records, cleanliness, and order
• remain engaged with children and model appropriate conduct
• maintain safe, clean, and inviting indoor and outdoor environments.
