Job overview

The Equipment Operator role is onsite in Newport News, VA, and pays $25–$34 per hour. Curtis Contracting performs civil, heavy highway, road and bridge maintenance, and federal contracting work, guided by safety and environmental stewardship. The operator uses construction equipment to move and grade earth and support road, parking lot, and building-pad construction. Equipment maintenance and accurate grade establishment help projects progress safely and to specification.

What you'll do

• Operate motor graders, bulldozers, scrapers, tractors, and front-end loaders to excavate, move, and grade earth or support structures and pavement
• lubricate, inspect, and clean equipment
• establish grades for roads, parking lots, and building pads.
