The Assembly Technician — Medical Manufacturing role is onsite in San Jose, CA, with a Monday–Friday day schedule of 8 a.m.–5 p.m. (flexible); training begins at 9 a.m. during the first months of the assignment. Compensation is $23–$25 per hour. The role supports a medical manufacturing client by assembling, testing, and packaging products for timely delivery to customers. The technician builds and tests mechanical and electrical assemblies, performs in-process inspections, and prepares products and kits for shipment. The work contributes to production flow and new product implementation in a manufacturing environment.

What you'll do

• Build electrical assemblies, PM kits, and sub-level assemblies
• assemble and solder components, connectors, and mechanical assemblies
• assemble and test complex devices
• perform in-process inspections
• assemble kits using required packaging materials
• work with engineers on new product implementation
• assist with packaging and skidding items for shipment
• prepare device skins and crate devices for shipping
• perform other assigned tasks.

Why this role

Four-month initial assignment; requires a high school degree or equivalent and three to five years of electromechanical or electrical-component assembly experience; manufacturing experience, especially in ESD environments, is required.
