Emergency Veterinarian (Relief)

The Emergency Veterinarian (Relief) role is onsite in Boston, MA, with availability for nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating or as-needed basis. Compensation is $1,800–$2,400 per 12-hour shift, depending on experience. Veterinary Emergency Group’s mission is to help people and their pets when they need it most. The veterinarian evaluates and treats emergency cases, communicates diagnoses and treatment options to customers, and performs emergency procedures. What you'll do

• Answer medical questions by phone
• triage patients and conduct examinations
• gather histories, presenting complaints, vital signs, and exam findings
• perform diagnostic measures
• develop diagnostic and therapeutic plans
• communicate options and estimates
• maintain accurate medical records
• perform emergency surgeries and endoscopic procedures
• educate customers on aftercare and prevention.
