English Language Instructor, ESL/TESOL

The English Language Instructor, ESL/TESOL role is onsite in New York, NY, part-time or substitute, with pay of $22–$25 per hour. The schedule is mornings and/or afternoons Monday–Friday, up to 20 hours per week. The instructor teaches young adult and adult international students, including some preparing for U.S. undergraduate and graduate programs. The role plans and delivers in-person English instruction, develops lessons and weekly plans, assesses student work, and uses technology to engage learners. It supports students’ development in reading, writing, speaking, and listening through established curricula and supplemental materials.

What you'll do

• Plan, organize, and provide in-person English language instruction
• develop and deliver lessons using appropriate teaching techniques
• create weekly lesson plans following established curricula and current materials
• maintain grade books
• administer quizzes, exams, and writing assignments
• use technology to engage students.

Why this role
