Special Education Teacher

What you'll do

• Assess students and develop individualized education plans
• adapt general education lessons and teaching techniques
• collaborate with teachers, parents, and professionals
• prepare classroom activities, materials, and assistive technologies
• monitor and document progress and adjust strategies
• manage classroom behavior using positive supports
• participate in IEP meetings and professional development
• support MTSS or RTI initiatives
• advocate for student needs
• complete academic assessments as directed.
