Memory Care Activities Assistant

The Memory Care Activities Assistant role is onsite in Reston, VA. Compensation is $19–$25 per hour. The Kensington Reston’s memory care neighborhood supports residents living with dementia and cognitive impairment. The assistant helps develop and deliver activities that promote residents’ physical, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, and psychosocial well-being. The role supports meaningful engagement, structured routines, resident participation, and communication with families and the care team.

What you'll do

• Help plan and implement memory care activities
• support monthly calendars with cognitive, sensory, music, movement, reminiscence, and social activities
• lead one-on-one and small-group activities
• prepare and clean activity spaces
• encourage resident and family participation
• transport residents as needed
• document attendance, participation, transportation, and preferences
• assist with community communications and program evaluation.
