The Family Therapist role is onsite in Havre de Grace, MD, and pays $65,000–$85,000 per year. The role is part of Ashley Addiction Treatment’s Counseling Team and supports its mission to transform and save lives through medicine, therapy, and spirituality. The therapist supports families and social supports affected by substance use disorders, helping strengthen family systems, improve communication, and engage loved ones in recovery. The role provides family programming and therapy while integrating family perspectives into treatment and continuing-care planning.

What you'll do

• Welcome and orient patient social supports and provide care-related guidance
• provide virtual family coaching and assist with virtual workshops
• facilitate lectures and group therapy
• lead a two-day in-person family program
• conduct individual and multi-family therapy
• collaborate on treatment and discharge planning
• educate families about substance use disorder, boundaries, communication, relapse prevention, and self-care
• maintain clinical documentation and follow ethical, confidentiality, and mandated-reporting standards.

Why this role

Requires a master’s degree in a behavioral health discipline, a qualifying Maryland license (LMSW, LGPC, LCSW-C, LCPC, or LCMFT), and CPR certification. Some training, supervision, or event work may be included.
