The Aircraft Mechanic I, General Electrical / Avionics (Day Shift) role is onsite in Elizabeth City, NC. Pay is $44.45 per hour. The role supports the U.S. Coast Guard Aviation Logistics Center’s Short-Range Recovery Division and its aircraft maintenance program. The mechanic tests, troubleshoots, repairs, modifies, and inspects aircraft electrical and avionics systems and components. This work helps maintain aircraft and components for return to the fleet, with repairs completed under approved methods and documented practices.

What you'll do

• Test, troubleshoot, analyze, modify, and repair aircraft electrical systems and components
• operate computerized circuit analysis equipment
• assist engineering personnel with system modifications
• perform electrical and avionics maintenance, repairs, modifications, and inspections
• adjust, repair, or replace wiring
• install and remove components
• troubleshoot aircraft interfaces, antennas, radar, navigation, and flight director systems
• certify completed work.
