Heavy Diesel Fleet Mechanic needed in Bend, OR. This is an onsite, full-time position with a starting pay of $33-$36/hr DOE. Cascade Disposal is a Waste Connections company. This role exists to perform maintenance and repairs on the company's truck fleet, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.

What you'll do

• Inspects and repairs vehicles with diesel engines.
• Handles routine repairs, including oil and tire changes along with minor and major repairs from A/C, hydraulics, electrical, welding, engine replacement, transmissions, etc.
• Interprets diagnostic test results accurately.
• Writes detailed inspection reports and repair plans.
• Collaborates with other diesel mechanics.
• Completes test drives.
• Uses power, machine, and hand tools safely.
• Communicates with drivers for issues.
• Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience

Experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair
