Independent Living Instructor

The Independent Living Instructor role is onsite, serving clients in Dublin, Pleasanton, and Livermore, California; compensation is $26.78 per hour. East Bay Innovations supports people with developmental disabilities to live in their own homes, pursue chosen work, and participate in their communities. Working one-on-one with a caseload of approximately 5–9 clients, the instructor teaches personalized life skills and supports clients’ independence and community participation. The role includes helping clients work toward goals involving household tasks, money, health routines, transportation, benefits, housing, and social involvement.

What you'll do

• Work one-on-one with clients with developmental disabilities
• teach life skills and support personal independence and community participation goals
• provide training and support related to money management, health and medication management, cooking, public transportation, housing, benefits, community involvement, and household maintenance
• maintain a caseload of approximately 5–9 clients.

Why this role

Full-time, 40-hour position; Monday–Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.; caseloads in Dublin, Pleasanton, and Livermore; mileage reimbursement for work driving.
