Job overview

The On-Call Support Staff role is onsite in Seattle, WA, with pay of $32.72 per hour. Shifts are variable: day, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; swing, 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m.; or night, 11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m. Downtown Emergency Service Center’s Crisis Solutions Center provides stabilization services for adults experiencing behavioral health or substance use crises, including post-overdose crises. The role supports a multidisciplinary team in maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for clients. Staff conduct wellness checks, monitor security cameras, serve meals and snacks, respond to emergencies, and assist with crisis de-escalation and stabilization.

What you'll do

  • Monitor security cameras
  • answer telephone calls
  • complete 15-minute wellness checks
  • respond to emergencies and contact emergency-response systems as needed
  • maintain order and cleanliness
  • remake beds and clean cubicles after discharge
  • provide meal service and cleanup
  • document client interactions and shift occurrences
  • engage in de-escalation, crisis intervention, and stabilization.

Why this role

Must be reasonably available for on-call shifts with less than 24 hours’ notice and work at least 15 hours per month or two 7.5-hour shifts. Requires one year of relevant paid experience or demonstrated ability to perform the duties; a Washington State Food Handler’s Permit must be obtained. Night and swing shifts have stated differentials.
