Production Operator – Second Shift

The Production Operator – Second Shift is an onsite role in Ravenna, OH. Qualified candidates with at least three years of applicable experience may start at $22 per hour, with a $2-per-hour second-shift premium. The operator reports to the Shift Supervisor and supports startup of the ABS Compounding Facility at LG Chem Ohio Petrochemical. The role produces materials on time and in compliance with production, quality, cost, and safety requirements. It operates extrusion, mixing, and packaging equipment, verifies materials and product specifications, and supports quality checks and safe, organized plant operations.

What you'll do

• Operate production equipment, including extruders, pumps, silos, mixers, and packaging lines
• perform equipment startups and shutdowns
• set up machines and make adjustments to process parameters
• clean and install extruder die heads during changeovers
• prepare, weigh, and mix raw materials
• read work orders
• print and manage labels
• package and store products
• collect quality samples and coordinate with the laboratory
• maintain a clean and safe work area
• follow plant safety and quality procedures.
