The Community Organizer - Lane County role is onsite in Portland, OR. Compensation is $62,756–$70,824 per year. The organizer builds and develops a base of community leaders in Lane County, helping them advance through increasing levels of commitment. Through grassroots organizing, political education, nonpartisan electoral organizing, leadership development, and mobilization, the role advances policy and systems change to address hunger.

What you'll do

• Build and support a community leadership team that develops and implements grassroots strategies for priority policy campaigns
• engage community members in field organizing activities
• lead or participate in community forums, educational workshops, and events
• mobilize people through phone banking, texting, canvassing, and digital organizing
• co-lead organizing trainings
• identify leaders for media, testimony, and advocacy
• support aligned local campaigns and coalitions as assigned
• participate in team and organizational planning.
