The Medical Assistant I or II position is onsite in Turners Falls, MA. Compensation is $19–$25 per hour. The role supports the primary care team in the nursing department at Community Health Center of Franklin County. The medical assistant helps the assigned primary care team deliver coordinated patient care and maintain clinic operations. The role prepares patients and rooms for visits, performs clinical tasks within competency and protocol, supports care coordination and documentation, and contributes to quality and safety activities.

What you'll do

• Conduct pre-visit planning and participate in provider huddles
• review charts for screenings due
• prepare, clean, and restock exam rooms
• obtain patient history, vital signs, allergies, screenings, and medication reconciliation and document in Intergy
• provide patient education as appropriate
• collect lab samples and perform phlebotomy, EKG, and CLIA-waived tests when competent and as needed
• assist with procedures and administer vaccines as directed
• coordinate clinic services
• maintain precautions and equipment
• support quality improvement, inventory, records, phone inquiries, scheduling, and care coordination.
