Float Flight Nurse

The Float Flight Nurse works onsite, with scheduled shifts in Cottage Grove, Newport, Aurora, Salem, Hillsboro, and Redmond, OR. Compensation is $111,150–$176,976.80 per year. Life Flight Network is a not-for-profit air ambulance organization serving communities through critical-care transport. Working with a Flight Paramedic, the nurse provides advanced critical care and is ultimately responsible for direct patient care under the organization’s guidelines and protocols. The role also supports flight-team readiness, patient documentation, equipment maintenance, and safe aircraft operations.

What you'll do

• Provide age-appropriate patient care with the Flight Paramedic
• complete patient care documentation and follow-up
• assist with equipment retrieval, cleaning, restocking, inventories, and checks
• help ensure safe aircraft operations
• enforce safety policies and assist the pilot with navigation, takeoff, landing, and in-flight procedures.

Why this role

Requires at least 5 years of ICU/ED/Trauma experience within the last 10 years, or qualifying flight experience substitution; RN license and listed life-support and trauma certifications. Must be able to cover varied shifts and fixed-wing and/or ambulance call shifts.
