The Senior AI Infrastructure Engineer – Model Training position is onsite in Mountain View, California. Compensation is $190,000–$260,000 per year for the stated California pay range. Kodiak develops AI-powered autonomous transportation technology for commercial trucking and the public sector. The engineer builds and optimizes infrastructure that turns large multimodal driving datasets into high-throughput model training. The role works with machine-learning teams to scale architectures across GPU clusters and improve training speed, utilization, and reliability.

What you'll do

• Design high-throughput data loading and streaming systems for camera, LiDAR, and radar data
• build distributed training infrastructure across multi-node GPU clusters
• optimize accelerator utilization, precision, kernels, memory, and communication
• profile training pipelines and remove bottlenecks
• build scalable dataset construction pipelines
• partner with ML teams to scale architectures to full-cluster training runs.
