The Overnight Safety Monitor role is in person in Bend, OR, at the Franklin Shelter. Compensation is $18–$23.60 per hour. The role exists to protect the safety and security of overnight shelter participants while maintaining a respectful, supportive environment. Through patrols, facility checks, emergency response, de-escalation, and clear documentation, the monitor supports shelter operations and participant well-being.

What you'll do

• Maintain a welcoming and safe environment for participants
• patrol the facility and surrounding area and respond to safety concerns. Conduct facility checks, secure entrances and exits, and prepare the facility for overnight operations and daytime transition. Respond to medical, behavioral, and facility emergencies under established protocols. Engage participants using trauma-informed and de-escalation practices, enforce program guidelines, document incidents and shift updates, and provide front desk and administrative support as needed.
