The Program Director, Midlands Area Schools role is onsite in Columbia, SC, and pays $14 per hour. The part-time seasonal schedule is Monday through Friday, 1:30 p.m.–6:30 p.m. Boys & Girls Club Crescent Region provides youth development programming through its Club programs. The director oversees program delivery, staff, and administrative work while coordinating with parents, schools, community groups, volunteers, and Club members. The role helps ensure youth have access to organized programming and development opportunities aligned with the organization’s mission and procedures.

What you'll do

• Plan, develop, and manage program implementation
• supervise and delegate to program staff
• organize and deliver programming and instruction
• maintain discipline and enforce Club rules
• refer youth to appropriate agencies when needed
• orient volunteers
• facilitate weekly staff meetings
• gather input to improve programs
• coordinate with the Campus Director and community.

Why this role

The posting requires a bachelor’s degree in a youth development field or equivalent education and experience, two to three years of program delivery experience, and CPR and First Aid certification. Occasional weekend and evening work may be needed for fundraising events and activities.
