The Body Structures Engineer role is onsite in Foster City, CA, with compensation of $170,000–$204,000 per year. The engineer is part of Zoox’s Body Systems team, which is developing the next generation of mobility vehicles. Zoox is developing an autonomous vehicle fleet and supporting mobility ecosystem. The engineer designs and leads development of vehicle body components and assemblies from concept through production release. The role coordinates requirements, validation, and cross-functional work to deliver body structures that meet cost, weight, performance, structural, noise-vibration-harshness, and crash objectives.

What you'll do

• Conceptualize and design vehicle body components and assemblies
• lead development and release
• plan component schedules, delivery, and validation
• define and negotiate body-system requirements and specifications
• support validation testing
• contribute to material and manufacturing-process decisions
• collaborate with styling, packaging, analysis, test, manufacturing, management, and suppliers
• develop body design processes and best practices.
