Solar Field Service Technician II — Utility-Scale PV Repair

The Solar Field Service Technician II role is an onsite, 100% travel position based from Dallas, TX, with pay of $28–$40 per hour. Pearce provides asset management, maintenance, repair, operations, and engineering services for critical infrastructure, including renewable energy systems. The technician troubleshoots, repairs, tests, and maintains utility-scale solar farms and related equipment, ensuring work is completed safely, correctly, and on schedule. The role also tracks work, checks quality and safety, documents service, and trains and supports junior technicians in the field.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot and repair utility-scale solar systems, including inverters, combiner boxes, and string circuits
• perform LOTO, IV curve tracing, megger/insulation testing, and IR scans
• assign work and track progress
• perform operations and maintenance on utility-scale solar plants
• inspect completed work for quality and safety
• enforce OSHA and NFPA 70E requirements
• diagnose and resolve field issues
• complete work orders, service logs, and documentation
• operate and maintain company vehicle and tools
• train and support junior technicians.
