Advocacy Coordinator

The role also supports housing and community initiatives, public affairs and outreach, communications, events, fundraising, and grant administration to advance the association’s advocacy priorities.

What you'll do

• Monitor and research local proposals affecting real estate, members, and communities
• collaborate with housing nonprofits and government agencies
• build relationships in neighborhoods and municipalities
• represent ACAR at council meetings, events, and public forums
• support affordable housing, community development, revitalization, and Fair Housing education initiatives
• draft communications and advocacy materials
• serve as staff liaison to councils and committees
• plan events and oversee assigned project budgets
• manage the #Homeforall Community Fund grant process and fundraising
• promote the Good Neighbor program.
