Accounting Technician II and Public Trustee Specialist

The Accounting Technician II and Public Trustee Specialist role is onsite in Alamosa, CO, and pays $18–$20 per hour. The specialist processes and reconciles tax collections, payments, deposits, and related records while assisting the public and county staff. Accurate transaction handling and customer support help the office distribute funds and maintain reliable tax and trustee records.

What you'll do

• Collect, distribute, and reconcile taxes
• respond to public inquiries by phone, email, and in person
• receipt tax payments and process tax lien redemptions
• reconcile daily receipts and prepare deposits
• balance collections and maintain reports
• process prepayments and mailed payments
• assist with month-end reconciliation and distributions
• prepare tax certificates and billings
• maintain files and supplies
• learn the Citysuite finance module
• cross-train for foreclosure and Treasurer Deed processing.
